Hey Guys,

you might not believe it but since my last post where I mentioned that I want to get more active in the kitchen and cook more, I cooked already several meals and even my husband said he is surprised about my cooking skills. I need to say that I mainly use my Thermomix for cooking which is actually fun and even saves a lot of time. Especially for the people who don't like to cook and have less time to prepare meals I can highly recommend a Thermomix since it works wonder. 

I will definitely tell you more about my cooking experiences with the Thermomix, the recipes I can recommend and the App I use, however this post today is not about cooking it is more about eating. Since a really long time I always wanted to try a meal plan which is affordable, where the products are fresh and especially healthy. Meal plans are in my opinion a really nice opportunity to save time during a stressful work week, to eat healthier and to try new dishes. That's why I tried this week the gluten-free meal plan from Skinny Genie. Beside their meal plans they offer healthy and gluten-free bakery and pastries as well as bread and much more. I chose the gluten-free meal plan, however you can also go with a dairy free or vegan meal plan. What I really enjoyed about the plan was that you can always select each day your favorite dishes and you can also inform their Team about products you don't like so that your plan is personally based on your reference. 

Day 1 - Fresh Apple Bircher Muesli / Grilled Nectarines with Mint Vanilla Cream / Baby Tomato Mozzarella & Homemade Pest / Grilled Salmon with Baby Spinach, Broccoli & Cajung Sweet Potato / Superfood Salad with Kale, Goji, Chia and Avocado Dip / Spirulina Coconut Chia & Sesame Pea Protein Ball

Day  2 - Mixed Fruit, Shaved Almond & Cinnamon Oatmeal / Grape & Mango Bowl / Carrot Chicken Soup / Beef Lasagna, Veggie Risotto, Vegan Date Cake

Day 3 - Haricot Bean & Tuna Salad with Rustic Bread / Mixed Berries with Mint / Greek Salad with Lemon Oregano Vinaigrette / Chicken Mushroom Risotto / Marinated Slow Cooked Lamb in Turmeric Wrap / Organic Cocoa Nibs, Goji Pea Protein & Matcha Bar 

Day 4 - Granola Nut Power Bowl / Tropical Fruit Salad / Creamy Broccoli white Bean Soup / Mama Elia Angus Beef Italian Meatballs / Quinoa Patty with Yoghurt / Dark Chocolate Brownie 

Day 5 - Banana Date Parfait / Cinnamon Fruit Salad / Silky Vegan Cauliflower Soup / Butter Chicken
with Jeerah Rice / Kale Pasta Salad / Raw Organic Prunes Sesame & Cardamom Bar 

The 20-Day program costs 2.000AED (Friday & Saturday not included) which is an incredible price for what you get. Each day you receive a full Skinny Genie bag with a sunrise bite, a starter, 2 main courses paired with side dishes, a healthy snack and a dessert. They also focus on sustainability by using only 100% biodegradable corn-made containers, by supporting locals farmers and by banning chemicals, preservatives or artificial food colorings. I am really impressed about the concept and would definitely order some of their products again. Since I definitely want to focus more on cooking this year I think a full month plan would be too long for me personally, however I know a friend who did it already and she highly recommended it to me.
